I actually painted this big ol' honkin' canvas way back in '93. It still actually holds a special place in my heart because it is the first nonobjective painting I made, and I didn't return to painting recognizable subject matter until 2004. The painting is pretty much what it appears to be, a visual record of me attacking the canvas with various tools and techniques in a fit creative joy. It was indeed a blast. It has often been affectionately referred to as "Big Blue" by my wife and I.
